Weight Classes:

• 140.9 lbs & under
• 141 – 155.9
• 156 – 170.9
• 171 – 185.9
• 186 – 205.9
• 206 – 230.9
• 231 & up

Skill Levels:

No Gi

• Beginner (under 2 years) – 5 minutes time limit
• Advanced (over 2 years) – 6 minute time limit

Gi

• White – 5 minute time limit
• Blue – 6 minute time limit
• Purple & up – 7 minute time limit

Rules:

No Gi
• T-shirts or a Rash Guard must be worn during the match.
• Shoes ARE NOT ALLOWED in Gi or No-Gi divisions.
• No neck cranks.
• Twisting ankle locks only permitted in advanced divisions.
• Fighters are NOT allowed to grab and use their opponents clothing.
• No Slamming (from the Guard or Takedown).
• No throwing an opponent off the mat or spiking an opponent on his/her head
• No strikes of any kind
• No attacks to the front of the windpipe (i.e. Finger in throat), eyes (elbows, palms, fingers, etc.) or groin.
• No pushing palm or elbow directly into nose.
• No small joint manipulation (fingers or toes)
• No biting.
• Also, any “sudden outbursts” made by a competitor during a match will be considered a “Verbal Tap”, and will results in an immediate stoppage.
• Any intentional use of an illegal technique or act of poor sportsmanship will result in the immediate ejection of that competitor.
• If competitors are deadlocked or go out of bounds without being in a dominate position, the referee may re-start the match from a standing position.
• Competitor can not disengage once they on the ground. 1st offense will result in a warning, 2nd offense is 1 point deduction, 3rd offense will result in disqualification.
• A competitor can not exit the ring at any time to escape a submission.

Gi
Rules for the Gi division are the same as No Gi except for these two rules:
• T-shirts or a rash guard are not required underneath the gi
• Obviously fighters are allowed to grab and use opponents clothing
• No heel hooks in the gi.
White and Blue Belts
Only attack the legs with straight ankle locks and kneebars.
Purple Belts
Toe holds, straight ankle locks, and kneebars are permitted in the purple belt division.

Points:

• Takedowns—–2 points
• Sweep from guard—–2 points
• Knee on belly—–2 points
• Guard pass—–3 points
• Mount—–4 points
• Back mount—–4 points
• Advantage points will be awarded for close submission attempts and used as a tie breaker
